:shock: driving over an hour to get there then get kicked out after spending money there, i would have been pissed :evil: Sonics in LakeWorth--FAIL. hope you guys find a 'new' location for a meet. i enjoy driving up to meet with the WPB family every so often just as i enjoy when you guys make the trek to the way-down-dirty-south meet we have. BTW, i know this good pizza place that cucaracha likes to go to when he comes down to fudds! :lol:

Here's what I wrote, sorry not too awake yet so I hope it's good enough lol

"After driving all the way to that Sonic location for our monthly vintage Volkswagen car meet, before I even made it out of the car I was told that unless I was buying food right on the spot I had to leave. I was planning on waiting for my wife and son to arrive before ordering soon, but apparently that was not good enough to the manager there, as she (he ?) wanted us out ! Very very disappointed in my Sonic experience, I have NEVER been treated like that ANYWHERE. I come in to spend money and have a good time, only to be asked to leave because I do not want to buy something to eat the second I arrive ! A lot of other people from our regular monthly meet spent a lot of money there as we usually do, we come in for the food, the atmosphere and the fun, but this "manager" ruined all the fun and frankly, I don't even want to eat at Sonics anywhere, although I probably have over $80 left on my Sonic gift card, I guess I'll have to sell it on Craigslist.

My feedback:

If this manger's preference is an empty parking lot with one or two cars, then that's fine, we will take our business elsewhere.

Gary the lady who called is patti. she called me about 45min after i put my complaint in lets just say that K.D Lang probly don't have a job. the general manager was very cool and said that we were all welcomed back at anytime but i told her that proby would not happen. but if anyone still wants to continue to got there thats fine with me.

Ok guys just got a call from the district manager (Ben) says alot calling from home with his kids in the back ground. lets just start with K D Lang has been FIRED with that sayed he would like to continue to have are meets there and if we decide to come back that the next time he would give us all 50% off but i told him its not about the money its about getting treated like adults and not like a bunch of punks and thats when he said K D Lang was FIRED and that he does not want to lose are busness. So if everyone wants to put this to a vote i'm with whatever.

i didnt like their jalapeno poppers anyways. not enough jalapeno.

I'll be there next time. if I can get some down southers to roll along.

It would be nice if we all could find a "midway" spot, that drive kicks my ass, without a radio, i talk back to the voices in my head. Not-to-say, that its not a good time, but there are a few voices that fight with each other and i just sit back and watch, gets a little weird.

Man i always miss the drama, unless if it's me causing the drama. :roll:

I'm all for keeping it at that location, Or at least near there, the drive up is just too long, and this location cuts about 15min off the old location.

Glad you guys had fun, i would have stayed regardless of what she said.

Hey guys, it's Paul the former GM at Lake Worth Sonic. I can't believe how you were mistreated. And from past experiences with this Ben guy, do not believe a word he tells you. All of the other car clubs have stopped coming for the same reasons. They came, spent $$$ and were still asked to leave. If you want your complaints to have some real impact bypass Ben, he's just a supervisor. Contact Buddy McClain or Andy Alsobrook-both owners. I'm sure the Palm Beach Post would love to hear about this too.

NEWSFLASH! Ben and Patty ,the district managers for the fsonics were blowing smoke up our asses ,everything they said its all bullshit ,we have the direct email for the owner ,nevertheless im working on a new location off the turnpike at the same lake worth exit its a burger bar joint which it has parking for close to two hundred cars ! so please dont let k d langs rage or anger become CUNTagious and ruin this gtg ,i hope that everyone and more will continue to show up wherever we move to! but for sure i wont be going to that fkn establishment ! and thanks to everyone that showed up ! and those that didnt ( ant ,jeff, thom and the others ..............u suck! :lol:

my 2 cents i vote for a new place also the food there was horrible anyways, we need a place where we feel welcomed and appreciated its way too hard these days to scrape up some money to give it to a place thats unappreciative. lets find a new place like tony and bill say and move on so lets keep rolling those dubs keep the shiny side up and the rubber down. mikey

On the positive side.....
It was a very cool hang out last Saturday.

Meeting folks, chatting about stufff, hearing all the stories, and more car stuff, vehicles I haven't seen before.

Then the ~15 car cruise through downtown West Palm Beach.
All the attention, pictures, hellos, head turning, through City Place and Clematis, then hanging out at the Marriott was very cool.

Looking forward to the new location.
