View original topic: tubing connectors 1/8 dia monroe air shocks

i have a set of monroe max air shocks. the air line to the shock is
1/8 dia. they provide a tee picking up the two lines. the air supply
connect of the tee has a schrader valve.

i plan on using a compressor with a 1/4 in tube line.

is there an adapter connecting the 1/4 in line to the schrader valve.

Take the valve to a good plumbing or hardware store with a good selection of brass compression fittings.
You should find what you need there, it is off the shelf plumbing stuff.
Unless you have some strange threads on the valve.

There is no fitting that will adapt to the schrader valve, nor would you want one. However, the valve should be 1/8" npt or 1/4" npt. You can remove the valve and replace with the appropriate fitting that will connect to whatever size line you choose.

I disagree, it may not be easy to find but there are fittings available for every thread ever made.

Are you looking to thread on the outside of the valve stem and remove the schrader valve thus making a "T" out of it?
If so just get a compression fitting T with whatever sizes you need and forget about the T with the valve in it.
Many schrader valves have a pipe fitting on the end used for plumbing pressure testing and such uses.

IF you must thread on the outside and can't find what you need PM me, I think I know a source.

The outer thread on a schrader valve is 1/16 npt. You will not find it at any plumbing supply house. Finding that adapter fitting and then being able to puchase only one would be difficult. If you did manage to adapt to it, the valve is a one way check with no way to release pressure once applied. So if you pumped up the shocks, the air would be trapped behind the schrader valve with no way to release it. Pointless to even try to adapt to it.

As for fittings for every thread every thread ever made! Just not true.

i just talked to the tech people at air lift about the compressor i plan on using. they have an adapter pkg that will take the 1/8 in lines on the monroe max air shocks and pick up their 1/4 in line from the compressor.

for your info if you ever need this.
