While i am adding a trailer harness converter - I decieded I might as well replace all the bulbs in the tail light housing since some have that brownish look to them. But the bulbs I currently have seem to be mismatched between 7506, 7528, 1157, 1156? What are the difference between these and which bulbs should I buy as replacement? Of course any higher wattage replacement bulbs would be a plus! but I do not necessarily want to put out 30 bucks for LED's.
Thanks,

thanks,
So what is the difference between a 7506 and 1106? is it just the base or wattage? |

I whent in to the local napa with the bulb and said I need one in a 10w not the stock 1.5w.
You can also add a bulb to the empty station next to the tail light. I added the extra bulb. Looks great and you can be seen!!! :D
This is a page of bulbs

Front turn is same as side marker- one bulb in that spot, so not sure how Sylvania lists two different bulbs.
Check out the Vanagon Wiki for a nice chart on stock and higher wattage bulbs. Here is the link:

This is an excellent source.

The reference file that many autoparts use list one of the front turn signal/marker bulbs wrong IIRC. |

Not sure if you're interested but, here's a good LED conversion table for all lights..

EDIT: Ha! Just noticed that this post started in 2008.. I'm guessing you found some bulbs that worked by now :) |
