I know it's a long-shot, but I thought I'd see if anyone is running German Azev wheels (sometimes called Atev). I found a set of very rare 17x7.5 Type A's on CL and snatched them up. Planning on putting them on my Ghia.
Here's a mockup I did real quick on the Selecta. What do you guys think? I know everyone's got their own style, and I'm running them regardless because I like them, just looking for any feedback. :)

Thanks. I got tires on them this weekend and mocked them up on the car. Looks like they're going to work just fine with some fine tuning with spacers. Will post pics when it's done in a week or two. 205/40's fit the wheels perfectly. 8) |

No, these are not sendels. I can't believe you'd actually say that ! Lol. These are one of the highest quality german wheel manufacturers around. Do a little research on them. Called AZEV (in case you didn't see the original post).
Got them test-fitted today. Look AWESOME. Check it.
Note - centercaps are not on at the moment but I do have them.

Offset is is 32. Beam is 4" narrowed, drop spindles.
There are 15mm (I think) spacers on the rears right now, possibly a little more in the near future. [quote]
gee, Thanks  |

Sharskinman to the rescue again, as usual, without a clue! |

Sorry, didn't see your post.
It's a '68 but I put short axles on the rear when I had the tranny put together (Rancho Pro-street). Hope that helps.
The wheels didn't easily just bolt on - a bit of tweaking has gone on and it looks like a few things are going to have to be ground down a little, but all in all they fit really well. |

Are they 4 x 100? or?
What do they weigh?
Look nice, I'd like to see them on a bug.

They're 4x100. Got the hubs redrilled.
I didn't know there was an official US distributor. Checked out their price list though... I think I got a pretty good deal, especially If those prices are two years old. :D
EDIT: Apparently the spacers are 10mm, all the way around (front and rear). Needed them in the front so the centercaps would bolt on without having to grind anything down. Had to massage the rear fenders ever so slightly so they wouldn't rub at the back of the wheel, but it appears to work just fine. |

Same link as the previous guy posted.
Drove it today - all-in-all it's awesome. Little rubbing to deal with in the front, but shouldn't be a problem to fix. :D
