Has anyone installed a Germanex convertible top? Are they any good? I think they are sold by Convertible Top Guys. |

I want to get my top on order and Germanex has the best price. I just want to make sure that they are a good company with a good top. Any help? |

Never heard of them. I found a review on them from an online site:
6. Germanex - Germanex is another mini GAHH clone. Armenian owned and run, Germanex focuses on the most popular models and colors of the Mercedes, BMW and Porsche convertible tops and seat covers. Germanex is known as a low cost provider to the shops and some distributors. They are not known for quality or selection. They do not have the ability to produce glass convertible tops."
Doesn't sound good to me.
I've used Robbins several times and all were excellent. They stand behind them with a warrantee and will even pay for labor re-installing them if the work was done by a pro. With all the work involved in putting on a top it's worth getting a very good quality one. On a vert a good top is everything,a bad one can make a nice car look like trash, the install a nightmare.. not to mention leaks

Thanks for the reply. The Convertible Top Guys, who get rave reviews elsewhere in the forum, use Germanex. So, I guess the next question is: has anyone ordered a top from the Convertible Top Guys, also known as M&T Manufacturing, and if so, were you happy with the quality of the top? |
