It all depends on the thickness of the Bondo.
Thin layers come off with a wire wheel.
On thick layers, I use a chisel to remove most of the mass and then get the last bit with the wire wheel. |

There are 2 safe ways, to remove body filler.
A heat gun
Paint striper
the first option is fast
2nd is slower
i would use both to get to job done
1st heat the part up then use a sharp paint scraper to remove, the filler
and paint. you may have to use a spoon for curves
then put striper on let it set for 15 to 30min
use steel wool and soap/water to remove
view drivers rear after striping paint and bondo...
thats how the factory finished the steel... 47 year ago
melodramatic comic relief
Yes a torch will work, just one little prob... its that flame
So if you like to see fire balls leaping off the side or your car
go for it ... just keep it safe use the heat gun...
good luck |

 Oh please, don't be so melodramatic. Bondo is more talc than anything else, so the resulting flame is no worse than catching the undercoating on fire when trying to heat a stubborn bolt. |
