I just would like to know if anyone can tell me if the TMI german square weave carpet is worth the price compared to their other carpet sets. The german weave is roughly 6 times the amount. IS IT WORTH IT?!!!!!!!Any answers would be appreciated |

That's one way to ask the question. The other way is to ask yourself just how cheap and nasty the TMI regular stuff must be if they can sell it for 1/6th of what the original costs. |

That's a very subjective question... have them send you samples of each and see which quality you prefer  |

I see your point, I just was wondering if anyone had used either or both of these products. Would it be better to look elsewhere? |

You could also inquire at Wolfsburg West, or Lenny at West Coast Classics. The stuff they use is as good as the original.
see for yourself...

Wolfsburg West sells German Squareweave carpet sets that cost around $380 They also have a synthetic squareweave at half that price. Just depends on the quality of the car your building & the size of your wallet.
Several years ago, I had Dylan Cheasly (formerly of Bug Rugs in the UK) create me a loom in Honey Brown which is vastly different when compared to readily available Oatmeal/Tan and it was very costly

I used the Wolfsburg West synthetic square weave for my 67. Priced very good, fits spot-on and unless it's going to be a show car, is just fine. |

I do not mind spending the money for quality. I, as with all who love their bugs, will use what is best(my wife has to love me), I guess I have answered my own question. Everyone has been very helpful. TYVM |

I would go thru W. West before I use TMI. W West has the corret pattern for your car, not just a "one size fits all". Kinda' like how a '61 is a one year only carpet. I have installed both of their carpets in two of my cars. One is more of a daily driver and one is a full restored weekender. I have no complaints on either, both very much worth their money.
The cheap stuff in my daily.

More times than not, they sell it at the same price as W.West. A lot of their products come from W.West, but not all. |

too true, but i know alot of BFY's parts come from the same manufacturer as WW, not from WW directly :) just to set the record straight :)
still worth shopping around :)

Wolfsburg West cuts their carpet in-house. They have more than a dozen patterns to cover 1953-79 so you know it's not a "1 size fits all" universal carpet kit. |
