View original topic: 1/4 mile and 1/8th mile times???
ShApE Sun Dec 17, 2006 12:48 am

I've seen alot of pure drag vw 1/4 mile and 1/8th mile times. But I'm always wanting to see more realistic times from daily driven cars or weekend drivers, along with the engine setups.

Right now I'm waiting on my engine from low bugget to arrive, it's a 2110cc with the 2000ts "under the decklid" turbo setup which basically consists of a T3 turbo with an adjustable internal wastegate and a Holley 500cfm 2 barrel carb.

My car is gonna be setup mostly for highway runs and auto-x events.

I just wanna see what I'm up against if I do decide to go to the track, and to see what other people are making on different N/A and FI setups.

My old daily driver (which means I drove it to and from work as my only means of transportation plus drove it to out of state shows and would even let my wife drive the car out of state to visit family on her own) would run 14.0's weighing in at 2050lbs without me in it according to the scales at phoenix. It would run a 1.80 sixty foot time. It only ran regular passenger car tires, never anything fancy.

Just a 2276 Type 1 powerplant and IDF carbs. :)
