I'm buying a kit for my 67 bug as we speak and did tons of research, including getting samples. First, keep in mind that 67 bugs had no actual floor carpet as a standard feature. It was side and kick area carpets, etc. and rubber mats on the floor as original equipment. If you want to retain this, look no further than Wolfsburg West. They have the exact correct kit that will fit perfect, properly edge bound, correct colors, and wont require a razor knife and three hours of modification to make it fit. Their exact correct square loop pile is expensive. But their synthetic that looks great too is under 200 bucks and will come in the correct color to match your car and color. Wolfsburg West also has factory color charts so you know which shade was correct for your year and paint color (if it matters).
If you want full floor carpeting with the heel pads and all the trimmings, check West Coast Metric. They have these and at good prices.
Be wary of cheap carpet kits (or cheap anything). If a kit says something like: "fits 1947 - 1977" or the like, be very scared. It will require more modification than a K-Mart suit to make it fit. |

Wolfsburg West has the top quality, correct interior pieces on the market. If you go with the synthetic, it's under the $300 mark.

i got my kick panels at kustom 1 wearhouse in orange... they were less than $20...i dont mind them being plastic, you cant tell once the carpet is over them..and the sound is good in my car..i ahve 2 5 1/4 up front and 2 6x9's in the back.
its not a kit you have to cut to fit... here is a link about it...my info is near the bottom of the page..http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=199847&highlight=
here is another thread about them... i posted in this one toohttp://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=186146&highlight= |

The WW links above are exactly what I'm getting for my Ruby Red 67 TI in charcole with the grey rubber mat - OG is black but I'm thinking of going charcole. |
