Hello
I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times. New VW fiberglass buggy owner. The rear wheels are cambered in at the bottom dramatically. Is this a modification or adjustment?
I'm not the best at mechanics but I cannot see how it can be lowered. Is it longer shocks?
Thank you for any help

Do you have all the weight in the buggy? Including the engine and battery, etc...
Swing axles will straighten out with the engine weight usually.
Do you have pictures of the buggy showing what you are talking about? _________________ Joseph

The wheels have to be rolling for the camber to change. The tires won't just slide outwards across the ground if you jump on it, they'll just dig in.
After the engine, battery, back seat, engine cage, etc., are all installed, roll it back and forth a few feet, then you'll know if it will settle down.
You should have just a couple degree positive camber \-o-/ with the car unloaded. If its too much or too little, you need to reindex the torsion bars |
