I'm wondering if sliding rag cars had headliner bows in them, similar to non-sliding rag cars. If so, anyone know the dimensions? I recently picked up a 58 that has no sunroof mechanism installed (I have one but am not sure it's complete). Any help identifying the necessary parts and fasteners would be greatly apprecaited.

They just need one, behind the ragtop opening (I'm having my 59 ragtop headliner installed next month or so). Buy one from Wolfsburg West, which can be cut to length.

I bought some bow caps for an entire headliner, meaning I will have some extras. Can pro-rate a price for a pair and send them to you, including shipping, instead of you buying a whole package, if you wish.

Best,

Thom

Thanks everyone. I suppose I need to do an assessment of the vehicle and see what parts are in it. I appreciate the help and may take you up on the bow ends. Any idea of the length of the headliner bow?

If you're talking to me, I will be at my shop tomorrow and measure the one I bought at WW, and post it here. Will likely need shortening, when I have my headliner done next month or so...

Here's a link to the headliner bow end caps I was referring to:

http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=113867649

Will likely sell you a pair for $1 (14 caps = 7 pairs = $1 per pair), plus envelope postage. Just don't want the remainders to go to waste. Will do same for others that need them, except that I'll retain 2 pairs for myself (tend to misplace/lose things these days).

Best,

Thom

Just in case, I had bought a headliner kit from Wolfsburg West, which came with 4-5 bows that are 48" long. They're plenty long, but I will need to shorten one to the correct length when I have my headliner installed.

Headliner kit:

48" bow:

Let me know if you want a pair of bow end caps...

Good luck!

Best,
Thom
