Order of reassembly???

I have a 1973 standard beetle I purchased in a semi-disassembled state. I stripped it down to a rolling body to repair. I took out the interior and wiring, everything.

My question is what is the best order to put it all back together (i.e. I know you need to put the headliner in before the windows)

Also anyone know where I can find volkswagen beetle exploded views to aid in the reassembly?

Start with the wiring, then mechanical parts before you start on any upholstery. You don't want to get greasy smudges on it

Just put the body back on my 73 SB this weekend. It was great to put the hoods and doors back on! But it probably would have been smarter to leave them off for ease of access when doing the wiring. The wiring looks like a big job, which should be next. What will I do with the dash? That's the next decision. I need to adjust my strut height soon. And bleed the brakes. I won't try the headliner, carpets, or install the new seats until the end. And glass, that has to wait too.

oh, and the engine. gonna need an engine.
