Torque value for rear axle housing to spring plate.

I get a thunk when backing and braking then another when rolling forward and braking the first time after backing. I am going to re-torque the spring plates to rear axle bearing housing bolts and the "Without guess work" book says the torque value is 80ftlb. Is this correct?
I just don't want to F#ck this up.
I recently checked the torsion bar bushings and found them to be in good shape.

I dug out my 66to69 Bently book and can't figure out why they say "tighten all bolts to specified torque " That doesn't help . Why don't they give you the number......
went to schedule for torqueing bolts and no mention of spring plate pg64 section 6
if someone figures this out will you let me know where I went astray .

If it helps any, the 61-65 Bentley also lists the torque for those bolts as 80 ft.lbs -- probably safe to say the bolts didn't change for the 66-68 swing axle cars so the same torque should be okay.

While you're rolling around on the floor anyway, you may also want to check the tightness of your trans mounts and the two large trans cradle bolts.
