re the tar board, in mexico they "solved" the problem by applying sound deadening paint on the sheet metal before painting the whole shell as seen here in my engine bay:

unfortunatley i have no specifications. under the "crust" created by the shell's paint it feels rubbery, more or less 1mm thick and have a very coarse grain to it. something like bedliner would be my guess. _________________ cars:

I need to do some wiring gas and vent hose management.
2110 with EMPI HPMX carbs with CB manifolds and linkage. Works pretty good for EMPI !!!
The sound deadening sheeting was going to be covered with a stainless firewall but it ended up not fitting well so I opted to leave it as is. The firewall paint is as good as the rest of the interior of the engime compartment but peeling that sound deadening off the firewall would have taken paint with it - so its a 'leaverite'. Its right at 100 here today - good day for a nice drive I think...

That is the tallest filter(s) I can get on it w/o stand-offs. And the stainless firewall is a 2 piece item I cut to get it into the compartment.
And the small panel in upper left corner is the wiring harness connections for the motor. Alt, tach, oil temp and press and lite. And the one pipe in second pic (two in first with covers) are from 3 speed blower for when I have heat exchangers installed for heat. Current exhaust doesn't have them.
