Hi, I get a 1953 pastel green in the proces to paint, one friend says that the color for this unit is not ivory to paint the batwing and the seats...
Is like a chocolate brown, some can say the code of color?

thanks for the pics Ruben Bastida |

From what I've seen the split window batwings were a milk chocolate brown color and the early ovals were a lighter almond color but not ivory like the later oval steering wheels. |

There was a few colors for the batwing, depending on the cars color. _________________ I got a historic car, every scratch got a history...

splits had (what I'd describe as) coffee brown and your oval color description of almond as right on... conversely, the name of a color is in the eye of the beholder... I've read that there are over 100 shades of white... no one way to view anything.
The early coffee color one would look great in your car.
The coffee color batwing in my '55 is worn black, with coffee showing through... I love it, the way it is.

If you take the RAL 8025 as Nancy say in Glasurit color system.
Them you get a color name BLASSBRAUN
And here is the formula.
Best regards Patrik

There is more than one color for interior. It depends on the body color.
This RAL color is as close as you can to an pastellgreen car.
Pastellgreen = RAL 1019 Graubeige = Grey Beige

... not the expert, but every pre 9/52 type 1 I ever saw in the USA was coffee color and beginning with Zwitter, were almond or ivory. _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD
