914 clutch roller question

Hi All,

still inspecting and adjusting the new 914 (1976, 2.0l), and found this home remedy on the clutch roller assembly. Pics I could find of such parts show they have a slot, I am looking for advice, photos, of what I should do to remedy this situation. I have to think there is an original way the clutch cable was secured on the roller assembly.

You need a tab washer that holds the clutch cable in place.
