Which one is correct for 57 oval window? Please note they are slightly different.

| The one one the left, no slots for the axle tube bolts. I'm not sure when they started with the slots but my 57 does not have them. |

...and I dismantled a '59 that did have the slots. That poor thing was a case of death and decay, but it helped some other Bugs live.
BTW - I just noticed that you are in my neighborhood Snort.

While maybe not "correct", I'd use the one that wasn't pounded on with a 5# mallet, at least until I could find a correct one. The slots will give you some toe in adjustability & the slots will mostly be hidden by the bolts/nuts.
