With my alloy wheels, I chose to have outer portion polished and spoke area painted with Chrysler Desert Gold....

Do you have pictures of the wheel style you have or are planning to buy?
Steel?
Aluminum? _________________ Richard

I have always had a thing for painted wheels, Chevy rallies especially. while I was planning Laurie's buggy most everyone I told about the color combo sort of went Ugh! Laurie was very skeptical. heard a lot of what no chrome? everyone builds to there own taste, so I say go for it! pick something you like, even if its pink! my favorite thing in the whole world is pink and if you paint them yourself a color change is only a weekend of work away.
with the colors you've already picked out there are a lot of cool trim/accessory finishes & colors that will work well. Good Luck! Pax _________________ pax

Thank you.... For some reason I'm not big into traveling a lot to bug/buggy bashes... Took it to Bugoramma a few times a few years back but that is about all... Local car groups are all big on Detroit iron and sort of ignore you... There is at lease 1/2 dozen buggy people locally but nobody wants to even be sociable.... Stupid community here has mentality if you have not had family here for 3 generations you are outsider and to be shunned....

There is a little car dealership by me that often has interesting older cars out front. I noticed a few weeks ago the guy had a Beck Spyder out front with the hood up. I went by Sunday in my Thing, and he was out there working on it again. I stopped and when I got out of the car he came over, and just said "can I help you with something?" and only said about 10 words to me the while time I was there. He was messing with something on the engine and I noticed he had a piece of 12/2 household wiring he was pulling pieces out of for something on the car . He eventually just walked away and I left.
I would have thought if someone pulled up with a complete running and driving car that had a similar setup to what I was working on maybe I'd pick their brain about an issue I was having, but I got the obvious impression he was not really knowledgeable about what he had or was doing to it. |

It's epidemic. Stupidity has gone viral.
If a Beck Spyder is sitting at a used car dealer, it will probably be sold to someone who has no clue about VWs or Kit Cars. and when it has trouble, will take it to a mechanic who has never worked on a car that wasn't front engine/front wheel drive, computer controlled and stone stock. The poor car's prospects are not good.
