As I had mentioned in the Bus hunting thread here is my new 62 Mouse Grey standard I bought a couple weeks ago. I thought I'd start a build thread. I regret not doing one with my bug I mostly finished last year.
My 64 beetle.
As found by a buddy of mine.
I had intended to build this 71 Westy but the 62 won me over. I managed to sell the 71 and broke even on the trade.
Interior as found. 2 full engines, 2 cases, whole beetle back end and loads of parts.
Floors look pretty alright. Metal is on its way!
Couldn't help myself and needed to see how the original factory paint would come out.....
Hoping to start in on the cargo door rocker soon.
Anyone have a bulkhead? |

That is awesome. I know of a guy with that same bus in og paint amazing condition but he won't let me show you pics. The greys are the best colors, my light grey bus is color shifting depending on the light. You have yourself some kinda cool bus there mister. _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. yeah the grey really comes out as a beige in the right light. I really like it.

Rocker coming out. You really need a dremel or air cutter rather than just a zip disk grinder to avoid taking out more than necessary. Pretty solid compared to lots Ive seen. Hope to start tacking in things this weekend. |

Scored a complete dash from my buddy Greg!
Fixing rust.
Sadly I have to sell me Judson to fund more metal but why hoard a Judson for a car I don't even own? Use it to fund more Green Metal!
Inner Rocker support in.
Doors are way out but my B pillar is smooshed from an accident. I'm hoping that a fix there will rectify this.
Rocker is in. |
