Having simular problem rewiring my 73 RHD that I imported from Japan. It was sent from factory direct to Japan and I have imported to UK. The 12 fuse ,fuse box has disintergrated and I'm changing to blade type fuse box . Only problem is wires hanging loose so I'm having to start from scratch and extending wires as have relocated position of fuse box. I downloaded a wiring diagram from a page on this forum and it seems the wire colours are the same

Use the one that is on this site. Its from the Bentley. I have owned two 71s and this diagram has been accurate with both.

I am not sure I am following you. Are you saying that the regulator in your car has five pins? If so then its likely some type of aftermarket unit designed for more than one application.
Mine has four connection points plus a ground where the regulator attached to the car. _________________ Ghia Owner Emeritus |
