I am purchasing kick panels from jbugs for my beetle and I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of what kind of speakers I should purchase. In the back im putting Kenwood KFC-6965S 6 x 9 Inches 3-Way 400W Speakers and for the stereo itll be a JVC Digital Media Receiver (KD-X320BTS) |

I got the plaastic pannels...there crap(IMHO) so I never used them and got some fiber glass ones . there nice. I have either 5.5 or 6.5 3 ways in mine. work great for 14 year old speakers. |

It really depends on whether you are going for a separates or coaxials. In components- you'll have a lot to consider- in coaxials- the choice is slimmer. In my former days I worked for a Kenwood dealer. Whenever we had a low profile install- like your kick panels- we recommended them. You'll be limited on bass response with anything in the coaxial world- so it really is a matter of choosing the lesser of evils. I have Kenwood 6 1/2"s in my kick panels and they work really well. _________________
