Hello all,

I'm in the process of restoring a 1971 KG Coupé which was sold in Berlin for the European market back in September 1970.

As we go through the process of putting it back together we have discovered some subtle differences between the USA and European models which are now mostly resolved, as well as some installations that don't belong at all to this model.

When I bought the car it had low seat backs installed in the front (no head rests) and I'm very happy to leave it as it is PROVIDED that this was actually an option here in Europe at the time. However, I having trouble determining whether or not it is possible that this 1971 Euro Model was delivered WITHOUT head rests ?

If anyone is able to answer this question I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks !

There's a '71 German brochure in the archives. Looks like no headrests...

Hi,

Thanks very much for pointing that out... just looked through some of the other brochures and translations, looks like it was an optional extra in Europe.
