Hi just joined recently bought a karmann ghia stick shift automatic and want engage in all ghias and help advise would be much apprecated

Hi there!
Are you saying it won't go into gear when the engine is running?
Check to see if the fuse is blown (back on the right side of the engine compartment there's a fuse holder).
You might also have a frayed or bare spot/cracked wire down by the shifter. If that wire is grounding out, it won't go into gear, it'll just grind when you try to shift. |
