Can anyone tell me if some of these parts are from a 1950 crash box trans? They were in a box marked crash box. Let me know. Tim

The pinion shaft is, but the main shaft is not from a crash box.

I don't need the main shaft then. Is it from a split case trans? What years would the main shaft fit?

The main shaft is from split case, there are two versions from Oct.52 to 58 and 58up. I don't recognise which one yours is.

A big thank you Mika! I also have a box of split beetle crash box gears that were in a shed with surface rust on them?? and bearings etc. I will start to clean them up and identify. Some are NOS but were sitting in a box in a shed for who knows how long? Some might be usable. Anyone have any nice pinion gears for a crash box? Tim
