My brother gave me a VJ4BR8, 019. I currently have an 009. What difference will I see by changing it? I am going to get a Magnaspark when they are in stock, so wondering if I should buy the parts to use it in the meantime.

The advance on the VJ4BR8(019) comes in sooner so it should feel "peppier" off the line.
You'll need a o-ring, points, cap, rotor and condenser. It looks like there's missing/worn fiber washer and shims which is why there's excessive play on the shaft. _________________ Glenn

I have the cap. I bought a condenser and oring from WW today. It also has the fiber washer. It is a little loose though. Glenn, what kind of end play should it have? |

Minimal... if the fiber washer is OK, then it could bve the one under the mainshaft inside. There's too much play for it to just be worn metal shims. _________________ Glenn
