|
|
I have been having vibration problems with my Syncro, it seems its the driveshaft, as I have no vibration with it out. I received a GoWesty Doka driveshaft and tried to install it and it wouldn't go in. I compared it to my stock shaft and its 0.75" longer than my stock shaft. Has anybody else run into this problem? I can get it in but the front dif. is jammed against the steering cross member and the four mount bolts are nowhere close. The van is an 86' never wrecked. I feel like I'm missing something or going a bit crazy from tracking down this vibration! _________________ frankenwesty EJ25 Syncro convert! |

If it is longer than stock I would call GW and discuss options, someone made a mistake. There is no allowance for a longer driveshaft and there are no alternative length versions. I have swapped my truck and van driveshaft without issue before.
FWIW my truck has a rubber guibo just like my vans. |

Thanks for the reply, I talked to gowesty and they are saying that's how long it's supposed to be 51" where as my stock shaft is 50.25. I could see .25" difference but .75"?
Can anybody else confirm their gowesty shaft is 51"? _________________ frankenwesty EJ25 Syncro convert! |
