|
|
My 56 has the fram oil filter on the firewall. I had to get new hoses for it. One or my hoses go into the generator stand the other screws in nect to the oil switch. My question is which one goes to the top and which one goes to the bottom on the filter housing. It is a stock 36hp. |

Here's an excellent photo of one built by Mr. Okrasa. The oil switch fitting goes to the upper part of the filter, the lower fitting is the drainback line to the crankcase and comes out of the bottom of the filer housing _________________ https://instagram.com/mr.ogpaint

Same result wherever it is on the top of the case. Having the location below the filter housing will definitely help since it's a drain back. These weren't factory so people could have drilled the case anywhere they wanted _________________ https://instagram.com/mr.ogpaint

Porsche did that so maybe someone copied that set up.

I'm pretty sure this one is done with a "hollow stud" on the distributor clamp...so the case isn't drilled _________________ https://instagram.com/mr.ogpaint
