Does anyone know if the steering shaft from a 1956 T1 is the same length/diameter as the 1960s T1? I know the splines are not going to be the same, but I am using an aftermarket steering wheel, so that doesn't bother me. Just need to know if I can swap one for the other. |

Starting with 1960 the steering column got a little shorter to accommodate the new dished steering wheel. The turn signal switch was completely different starting that year too. _________________

1960 and later shafts ARE shorter in length, same diameter and all 1956 and later splines are the smooth type, same.... you can use a later column with the later style directional indicator switch, as mentioned _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD
