What's your opinion of the net worth of the entire US ACVW market per year?
Go ahead and cite your sources and credentials, blather on about it.
Please. Wink
Take it world wide if you want.

This sentence makes no sense to me - you should reword it.

Are you trying to guess how much money changes hands per year?

Net worth is a different thing.
Example: Hopefully most people's net worth is more than they make per year.

Oops, I guess I'm correct.

Finance is last place you"ll see standardized verbiage.

If I would have said sales, that wouldn't give me what I'm looking for.
It's probably a too technical subject for the forum and privacy issues arise when someone could actually make an educated guess.
These issues come up all the time in the news for markets.
One could go to public incorporated ACVW businesses and look at their public fillings to see what they report to the SEC or to the States in which they are located.
Upon thinking about it, seems right up ICY's alley, I remember some of his rants of financial nature.

http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/

A quick search for Empi pulled a few different files.

But you would have dig a bit, and pay a fee to get numbers.
The news papers make estimates
Edit;
Empi owners
http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/2011/dec/22/mark-update/

And

http://www.nrai.com/

Second one looks like paperwork.

Edit;
Then I just found this

I'm into drunk polls, so here goes:

If a 100,000 ACVWs change hands each year (highly believable), don't they only have to sell for $200 each to come up with a $20 mil a year market?

One need only look at the unfactored overall 165/70/15 tire business, 19 series battery industry and Craft beer sales to see your market data is incomplete. Cool

I wonder how many ACVWs are left in the USA.. Less than 1/2 million, of all models? I'm too lazy to add up the production numbers of all aircooled VW's delivered to the USA. Most government data suggests that less than 1% of cars remain in existence 30 years after production.

Oops, I guess I'm correct.

Huh?
I didn't say you were incorrect, I said what you posted was confusing.

"Per year" is confusing but I guess with your new text you mean what is the net worth of all the current Air-Cooled VW businesses.
Maybe for the current year?

I don't know how many VW businesses are incorporated.
I bet there are a lot of companies that do not have public filings.

Autozone buying IMC is rocking the status quo,
For now buying your oem parts from AZ can't be beat.
But you might actually have to call them.

20 million+ is an easy guess

Its virtuallly a ripple in the auto parts pond. This is 1.5 year old news.....and with 17 locations only .....most west coasr.......and only wholesale anway .....they were a B2B enterprise.....and not even the primary source for Meyle parts....whose quality has slipped to the 50/50 mark in recent years. ....... ..its just another parts line access for AZ. ....meaning they paid a cheap price for a little more market share.

Usally with aquisitions like the.....you can find a few more parts at,AZ that uou coul before. ...but as soon as they start cutting out slow moving items....it will dry up. Ray

Not only that- IMC was way more than just ACVW. WAY more!
