Is there a good way to set the fast idle screw that rests on the choke plate.
Old eyes just are not trustworthy. Feeler gauge method or ? Drove it around the block yesterday so things are progressing. Ordered new bosh plug wires and dist cap points etc. to help the old girl. Thanks much Dan

Found some info on the carb adjust. It says to use a .003 feeler gauge to set the fast idle screw gap and then screw in 1/2 turn. Now the fun began. I put new points in and fired it up and it quit. To make a long story short some geanuous crimped the wire to the condenser in backwards so that when it would advance the condenser wire would pull over far enough to short out.
Understand I am not a mechanic so it took me awhile to figure out whet the heck was going on . fun stuff Dan
