Got the thing running pretty good waiting for a dwell tach and timing light to finish tuning .
Got hard break peddle but not stopping like I think it should.?
I realize I'm used to power breaks but I don't know what to expect out of this old girl. Dan

They work best when properly adjusted. This will still require a lot more force on the pedal than you would need with any power brake system out there. Having the right linings will help reduce pedal effort.

If there is any brake fluid, grease or oil on the linings from leaking seals, braking efficiency will be reduced.

And they are more commonly referred to as BRAKES, not BREAKS.

If the BRAKES don't work there will be BREAKS.

Original breaks and I pulled the right front and there is no wear. There are no leaks only 17,000 miles on this old girl but rough ones . It was use to hunt jack rabbits in Wy.
