Good work Matt.
I would have never imagined in million years the condition of Andy's old bus under the paint! _________________ 1947 Beetle

Good work.
Never would have expected that bus to be like that underneath. _________________ 1977 Bay window Devon Moonraker, 1600 type 1 engine. |

Thank you for the props guys - much appreciated! I'll be uploading lots more updates this week, as there's lots of progress.
Both the owner and I were massively surprised by the poor condition of the metalwork - especially the shoddy welding repairs. Still, it's all being corrected now and will have one of the best paint jobs in the business!
Thanks, Matt _________________ www.air-kraft.com |

This repair was a little tricky as the original pressing detail had to be fully replicated on the panel. First, we cut out the original rotten section - repaired it, then cast a set of Pullmax dies from the OG panel. We used the dies to then add the detail to the panel - it's exactly as original.

Matt, the circular welds in front of the beam on the chassis are factory welds:

Trust me what? I thought you'd like to know that's all. I couldn't understand why you'd remove those welds, I was guessing you didn't know they were factory _________________

good detail
why are they there?
is it bracing/strengthening for the receptive threads of the beam bolts? _________________ -StockRocks- |
