Here's another 36er I finished up. A customer wanted a "stock" looking 36hp engine for his '55 beetle but
wanted a stroker single port motor with "big valves" and Clyde Berg reworked heads. "Not a problem!
Would you like a Gene Berg deep oil sump with that also?" Check out the W.West crank assembly,
big valve heads will full port/polish, lightened, balance and pinned flywheel.
Enjoy pics. Cheers! Mr. Okrasa Cool

ugh. showoff!

very nice. im considering a nice pepped-up 36HP build in a manx at some point. i loooooove these early style engines. should scoot a buggy along quite nicely with a pair of stock carbies.

What is the owner going to do for an intake manifold? Modified 40 or 1600 intake? Maybe a 30pic in lieu of 28pic?

I didn't ask the owner what he was going to use for an intake. A modified 40hp intake might be the way to go.

Owner said he was going to modify a 30 pict carb since it "somewhat" looks like a 28 pci.

30 PIC would work well, if interested in a manual choke.
