I have a 67 beetle that I picked up and the headlight buckets are rusted out but the fenders are pretty good shape.

Has anyone ever just replaced the headlight buckets ?

I've done one. My OG 67 fender needed one. Used a Repro fender for the bucket donation. Not hard to do. Usual process, drill out spot welds and re weld into position.

I figured it had been done and think I'm going to try it I haven't found any good used fenders near me so this sounds like a good alternative

Thanks for the response

If its just rotted on the bottom, you may be able to just repair it. I have one like that I am doing later on.

I just repaired one to practice welding, the whole bottom was rotten, I'd suggest getting an entire bucket, it would be quicker that way.
