Okay, some of the other slides I didn't scan show definitely 52 busses...
We can go on with looking for incorrect corrections by the editor/painter on the milk van: I think the wipers look too simple and long, and I can't find a jack, you agree? |

Possibly artists impressions.
But if not...
It's not a walk through. No stripper pole. So must be a swivel seat
Please scan the other slides!! _________________ 1951 Samba 20-017894

and there's a bug sitting on the right rear corner, above the beltline. I bet the artist added that too....
Oh c'mon everybody! we will never know the truth until we see the original b&w pic.
I just CAN picture a prototype like this as I have observed the Kohlruss in person and I know what an independent company was able to achieve.
Probably the milk van isn't a factory prototype, but rather a coach built sales vehicle and it could have easily existed the way it looks in the retouched rendering. how many Colombian buses have we seen with removed front divider panels. we can remove them today, when we restore a bus with green metal. so anybody could have removed that in the early 1950s. To me it looks as if this van has no cab panel and it definitely has single seats. also one can make out the original 3 spoke steereing wheel and one of the 3 spokes is pointing straight up to the speedo ( you can even see the shadow in the speedo bezel). then you can make out the other 2 spokes and the lines that run across the wheel are simply the painted areas on the driver's door/a pillar.
I agree with the jack supports and the wipers.
the sales flaps look totally real and if they converted a factory panel, that would explain the hinge screw holes and the line running down the shortside panel. they would have added a closed lower panel section instead of the cargo doors.
I think there is a lot of retouched stuff in that slide, but there's a lot of real things going on too. look at the chromed/aluminium awning/tent hooks above the sales flap. much to real looking to be added.
The only question is, where is that f****** cool van today ? _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !

look a bit closer and sure as youre borne, the stripper pole is there !!!!!!
look at the drivers door glass. just to the rear of the front vent window, there it is. when the artist made a swivel seat out of that picture he forgot to remove the upper section of the pole. _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !

from the 'zweckvolle Innenausstattungen' brochure
It seems, all that we can dream up, this coachbuilt started as a double door walkthrough.
confessing there are a lot of phoney retouched things going on. in the inside view the sales flap rather seems to be a sliding door (see handle near c post).
I can't imagine though, that the rendering artist added the righthand hinge screw holes. _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !
