VW / Porsche dealerships

I am laying out the paint sceme for a mid '60s VW Van parts runner.
I am not going to copy any past or existing dealership but would like to know what the layout might have looked like.
Specifically whether the emblems had a specific required relationship within the sign painting design.
Pictures of dealerships or service vans would be helpful.

This is a US project.
