Upgrade of one of the back-end Samba servers is complete.
There should be no difference in what you see but if you have any questions or find any issues, let me know. _________________ How to Post Photos

A million variables can affect this, but right now on my computer it seems a lot snappier in the forums. |

Me too, maybe it's just that new server smell, but I clicked through a pile of stuff and made a couple of posts without a single lag or hiccup, so far so awesome! _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Thanks for the correction. I used to be a nice guy, then I ruined it by exposing myself to the public. |

I noticed behavior that changed after the upgrades. May be a coincidence, maybe not. After I post a reply, if I go back to the main page, and show the forums, it shows there are unread posts under each forum in bold. However, when I click to the topic in question, it's my own post! It has happened over the past few days, and this almost never happened before. |

This happened before too.
I have seen this numerous times.
Sometimes the unread flags don't update immediately if you posted in the thread or don't update when you open and read a thread either.
I will often go into a Forum section and open every thread with new posts in it, all at once.
10/20/30 tabs in my browser.
If I reload the main section listing afterward, sometimes everything new is now marked as read, sometimes there are a few stragglers. _________________ How to Post Photos

Thanks Everett. It's no biggie. Just wanted to provide info in case others had the issue and there was something to be done about it.
Might also be a cache issue on my Mac. |

Well... 8 days since the upgrade and no significant issues, seems to have done the trick.
Nice job Everett!
I have noticed the stale "new post" icons or the page order looks the same after I post now and then as well.
Also when trying to return back to the "post a reply" page after heading off on a search I sometimes run out of back clicks and get stuck, just have to remember to open a new page to search, if that's the biggest issue there is I can live with it. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Not sure what is related to what, but three times today my browser has frozen as soon as I try to open classifieds. I'm using firefox and using a bunch of other sites too. None others are showing any issues. I had to totally re-start firefox to get back going again. Maybe its nothing, but I thought you might like to know in case others are having issues. |
