WARNING! Do not continue to read this thread unless you want to be haunted by one of those damned ear worms from radio or television ads.

That being said, I just had one pop into my head & felt it necessary to plague my kids with it, so I pulled it up on YouTube & sure as hell, now it's stuck in their heads too.

Remember the almond joy/mounds "sometimes you feel like a nut"?
Or the Coca-Cola "I'd like to buy the world a Coke"?
Or even "where's the beef?"?
There are countless more, let's hear yours.

Go ahead hum a few bars of "Where's the beef?.."

I dare ya.. Laughing Not sure who's humming that one to ya?? Laughing

but, IT WAS NOT A JINGLE> it was a Slogan

Laughing

If this is slogans too.. I got to go with

"When you're really good they call you Cracker Jack"

Jingles.. stuck in my head..

Oscar Mayer
“My bologna has a first name, it’s O-S-C-A-R”

Band aid
“I am stuck on band-aid, because my band-aid is stuck on me”

How I always remember whats on a Big Mac

“Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun”

Dr. Pepper

“I’m a pepper, he’s a pepper, she’s a pepper, wouldn't ya like to be a pepper too?”

and who could forget..

Meow Mix..

“Meow, meow, meow, meow....”

and the Doublemint Twins.. ..

Oh and you're welcome for the topic inspiration ???? must have been that Boob Tube comment in the other topic.. Laughing

"Ohhh yeahhh ", I may as well let the Koolaid guy respond. Yes, slogans too. Maybe you gave me the topic idea subconsciously but it was the Tang thing that brought it forward. & dammit, you had to fire the meow mix one as one of the first examples, now it's stuck in my head.

Probably not correct, but this is what I remember and I can't find it online -

A-new-y, a-new-y, a-Kellogs a-bringa you
a new kind a break-a-fast cereal
Him puffed and toasted nice
Him Kellogs PuffaPuffa Rice

and there were all kinds of car jingles

See the USA, in your Chevrolet

You can trust your car
to the man who wears the star
the big white Texaco star

As a recovering Pepsi collector, I have a full set of Pepsi jingles on my hard drive... and some other soda pop radio/TV jingles as well, and any of them can "earworm" on me at random.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

So, here is your Pepsi "earworm" for the day….One of my favorite t-shirts as a 70's teen had the Pepsi jingle/slogan:

"Lipsmackinthirstquenchinacetastinmotivatingoodbuzzincooltalkinhighwalkinfastevergivincoolfizzin...Pepsi"

with no spaces nor punctuation. I still remember it well.

My favourite was an old 7-up shirt. The slogan was "Make 7-up yours." In BIG letters. "MAKE 7" was in the front, and "UP YOURS" was on the back.
Classic.

Back in the day we substituted that for counting 5 Mississippi before rushing while playing football in the street. 5 yard penalty if you skipped an ingredient.
