Anyone want to Bicycle the Farmington River Trail, (late) Sat afternoon?
Probably 3pm, as I am kayoing in the AM (on Mass, near the Cape)
Alternatively - any good ponds or lakes to paddle nearby?
I'll be there in the Honda as usual |
Bunch of lakes in the region mostly to the west. Not sure which ones you can do stuff at. I know Candlestick lake is talked about alot. That side of the state I do not know enough to really help. |

Barkhamsted Res. is about 20 min. from the show, The Farmington River is pretty calm too, visit Collinsville, where I used to live, a cute little village... _________________ Tom

I thought the reservoir would be off limits to boating. I noticed Lake McDonough below it, but $15 for out-of-state to park at the launch area!
Burr Pond look interesting and not too far away - fee free @ launch.
If I was arriving earlier, I'd bring both bike and boat. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

If anyone has one, I'll bring the dough.
Thanks |

I have a 2.1 Vanagon exhaust if anyone is interested. I had someone interested who is attending Litchfield (I think from VT), but I can't recall who.
IF it was you let me know, or just pretend it was you and BS me. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

Packing progressing... Way too much to do here this week
I will of course have my key stuff with us. I do now have blanks for Vanagon (again) and have found some blanks for the new aftermarket locks. If there is anything listed in our adds you want give a yell and I will make sure I pack them. |
