Trying to plan my summer. Would like to venture to some VW events. Lookin for those big events, drags show swap etc. I don't see any posts for Oregon or Washington. Willing to jump in motorhome and make a weekend of it. I drag our '62 Ragtop around enjoy the great times. Appreciate your help!
Thx... |

You've got Spingmeet in Washington in April
Woodburn bug run in Woodbury Oregon in May or June
Vintage weekend in The Seattle area in July
And Portland Bug-in in August
Check the dates, I'm not 100%. The two Oregon shows have Swaps and drags. The Washington shows have no drag racing.
Check the events tab on here, they should be posted soon if not already. |

It is looking like the big weekend in Seattle this year is July 16, 17. On the 16th is the Vintage Meet, show only and on the 17th is the VW Nationals at Pacific Raceway, drag racing and show. |

The LeMay museum sponsors "cruise ins" the second Thursday of every month through October. Might be fun for the local small German car mafia to organize an appearance at a few of them this year. Post here if interested and maybe we can put a posse together. I think its held on the lawn of their overflow facility in Spanaway. |

Look for the Bus Pilots Association 22nd annual Family Reunion in Boise- coming up in mid June again. It will again be a 2-1/2 day event with a "get together", swap, road ralley, cruise in and finally- the show. _________________

PNW Events that I know of for 2016,
4/30 Woodburn VW drag meet #2, Woodburn, Or.
6/4 NW Bug Run, Woodburn Dragstrip, Woodburn, Or. Drags and Swap meet.
Sponsored by Rose City Volksters
7/16-17 VW Nationals Vintage show Saturday. Drag race and car show Sunday.
Pacific Speedway, Seattle area
8/7 Rosecity Bug-in Portland, Or. VW show, Drags and swap meet.
9/17-18 Volksfest Moxee, WA. Saturday Drags. Sunday Show and swap meet. http://www.avva.us/Volksfest.php
Sad to say that with all of the VW interest in the PNW. We get so few events to attend. Google searches of all of the above events turned up one dedicated website for an event. Pathetic
Enjoy your spring and summer events. _________________ I have learned over the years.

I stand corrected regarding my earlier post. I googled VW shows in the PNW. I even checked the Rose City Volksters site and had difficulty finding links to shows in the area. But, I do look forward to going to the Northwest Bug Run.

Really? I thought the VW stuff was pretty strong. You missed the spring meet this coming weekend in Bellevue, and the Vintage Meet in July. Throw in the Boise show, the Wet Westies event, and various cruises and such and things look pretty busy from here. _________________ nothing |
