Smile glad to see someone is paying attention. I'm trying to paint the outside this weekend. But it'll depend on my buddies schedule. So keep checking in. I'll be posting pictures.

Let em judge. It's a daily driver. Not a beauty queen to be driven three times a year. If my engine blows up Ill look into the Subaru engine. With the type IV, if I get it running cool before it blows up I'll probably rebuild it. but if I had a type I engine I'd ditch that crap in a heartbeat.

Anyway, now that all the purists are flustered. I'll get to what we did tonight. Prime! It a purple! (Just as a guide coat.) My friend wanted to make sure I sanded everything good. I like the idea. It should help me know what I'm done with too.

So I've sanded most of the van now down with 240 grit sandpaper using a block. The doors are done too. Saturday we will hit it alll with 400 grit then tape it off and paint! 😃 here are some pictures. I'm too lazy right now to get the doors back out.

Still need to finish up sanding the back.

Thanks guys! I'm happy with the results. I'd do things differently if I went back, but this ended well given the time spent. Can't wait to get her on the road again!
