You know this image has been share all over and seen by many... my printer caught that I misspelled MARATHAN.
3K a year? Damn I wish I had the time, well and weather. We have had a lot of rain and crap weather over the last week. It has derailed my goal of 1600 by July 15th. I think I can still make it if I get 150 this week-end and a couple 20 to 30 milers next week. My goal was only 1200 from May to July, I'm sitting at 1469... so I guess I can't complain. Good luck with your job at your LBS. I really love doing that kind of work on the side. I have most of the tools needed for bike repairs. Next purchase is press fit bottom bracket tools. _________________ Anthony

Just passed 2100 miles for the season yesterday.
If I was riding west continuously, i'd be near Salt Lake City. _________________ Glenn

Nice! I have to set a season goal... I think 3K is a reasonable goal for the season. If the weather gets better and carries into Nov... I could get 4K. _________________ Anthony

Looks like you are in for some really bad weather soon. We just finished a heat streak of +100deg of 19 days (or something like that). It's been really nice but I haven't rode much the last half of the month except on the trainer _________________ Stupid people do stupid things. |

I put some Schwalbe Marathon GGs on my bike. They are 700c x 28 and now I know I could have gone to 32s. I plan on riding the gravel loop too.

Well I completed the RAGBRAI and that took me over 2100 miles. 5 days after my return I picked up a new to me Gravel Bike. 2013 Foundry Auger to train for the Dirty Kanza 200 mile cross race. I'm sitting at 2250 miles and 150 of them on this bike.

Leaving on another tour Wednesday from Detroit to Houston.
Don't suppose any sambanistas en route would be willing to let me camp out in their yards?
Plan is to go from Detroit to Toledo to Cincinnati to Louisville to Nashville to Memphis to a bunch of little towns along the Mississippi to Alexandria to Houston.
Should take 3-4 wks. |

I commute on a new-to-me 2009 Trek Soho. Shimano Alfina 8spd, belt drive, and roller brakes. Will get a pic up when I get home. _________________ -Tom-

Longtime enthusiast, very active years ago and not so much now but trying to get back into it. Planning a TransAm ride in 2016. Background in European touring and commuting here. Worked as mechanic, VBT tour leader, store manager, and repped in the industry for years. Several bikes over the years but I'm into anti-prestige so nothing fancy. Here's the only bike pic I have in my gallery right now, but the fleet includes two more Raleigh Sports (L19" and L23") a Waterford Paramount touring, Bridgestone RB-T, Trek 510 city build, Schwinn Cimarron mongrel, Giant carbon hardtail, and the wife's bikes.

Good stuff in here. I am riding mountain bikes and just got a sweet tandem Rodriguez AL 26. I also love old bmx bikes and fat tire bikes. _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. CB 044 heads, AutoCraft rockers, chromoly push rods

Rode my Trek to watch the Men's Elite race in the UCI Worlds today. Big crowds, lots of nice bikes all over the place and a great show. Yay! _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

Ride is going quite well. Threw chain yesterday in the middle of nowhere but installed another masterlink and kept going. 7 days and somewhere over 600 miles from Detroit to Nashville so far. Might hang out here a couple days to rest up. Anyone in Memphis willing to host for a night?

Just sold off my Stumpjumper Elite, leaving me with my Cannondale Scalpel:
I try to ride at least twice a week for an average of about 40-45 miles although the weather in Western NC hasn't been as cooperative as one could hope for.
These are the types of trails in the area. (I made the video to help sell the bike)

I was in the market for a new helmet since my last one was 4 years old and 8500 miles, so I happened to stop by the bike shop and they were having a 30% inventory sale.
I asked if it was everything and was told YES. I asked if it had to be in stock, since it was a inventory sale, and was told no.
So the time was right and they had to order it. Got the call today that it came in.
