No info on that one but in Belgium there is a bundespost barndoor. Think it is a 55. But it is a panel. Great rescue.

Buy looking at the first three pictures you can see that it has a tall engine rear deck and rear window hole which would mean no ambulance hatch

I talk with James about this old Bundespost Barndoors, but he also don´t know much about the use of this BD´s.

I cleaned the Bus like an archaeology and found some interesting stuff.

Thanks fpr the reply, the Axe is a funny accessory!

interesting turn:

Some days bevor we start the official allowed rescue of this Barndoor, some poor people try to kill the history of this Barndoor and brutally hacked down the totally rotten Front and the id-plate of the Bus.

some days ago the original front from my Barndoor offert to us over a "middleman" for 1500€ with the picture of the kidnapped part.

i ask to trade with a another front, but they want to se mutch of $$$$$

I try to consider the history of this specific Barndoor and some other people work against it....

it is just a shame what greed, ignorence and stupidity have made of the VW family within 10 years ! Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad
I remember, back 25 yrs ago, when it was just any old car and you would be friends with everybody interested in aircooled cars. they were few people. used to be a bond.
nowadays it is $$$$€€€€ and cultism.
now if they had asked 100€...that'd be something else.
steeling a Vin tag is a crime. you should let them know this Chris !
I bet the police will be interested too....
