This must be the most clamps used on a single panel ever!
Laughing I know, I know.

You ever heard that saying people don't know how dumb you are until you talk to me it looks like there's only four clamps maybe five holding that corner on the rest of them look like there sitting on the rear deck

You must have missed my laughing emcon Laughing and then the words "I know, I Know." I did that so people wouldn't think I actually thought all those clamps were being used. I just thought the picture looked kinda cool with all those clamps. I guess something got lost in translation from English to English. Embarassed Come on Brian. You ever heard that saying, "If you don't use punctuation in your sentences....." Rolling Eyes

Another question, as I am trying to learn, did you use the internal structure as a reference when you clamped the long and short side to the internal structure? Any outside clamping?

Wow, that's alot of replaced metal. What is original on it? 5-6%?

That much replaced metal means there had to have been some flexing at some point so that cargo door being off 1/2" is not a big surprise.

Seems like it would've been easier just to build a 'Gerson Special', tack on the BD plate, and have left the Pinky the way it was. It was a cool bus with it's own character and history.

I think the owner of a certain bus can do with it as he pleases. Your opinion of how he spends his own money shouldn't matter here.

Even though a lot of metal has been replaced, It is still an original VW bus with its original vin.
Jason, your killing it man! Smile Definitely a BadAss bus.

Sorry Fellas,

The bus is at the blasters right now currently awaiting it's turn. I will post more metal and all body work upon return to me shop.

Hi I have a question on the side of the cargo doors is the side absolutely tight?
or is there a small bend in?
at the height of the cargo doors?

I followed this build first on KCW and now I found it here.

I would like to address a lot of things but as I do not know the stories behind the budget for the different shops and the objectives of the two different shops I will no throw my spoon to the soup.

But nice to see that the bus is getting build and not just sitting somewhere slowly rotting away.
