Fabulous work with the assembly and completion! How does the OKRASA engine run? Have you taken it for some good high-speed highway drives?

Thank you for saving this car. Some folks are quick to blame Hippies for hacking Vw's. Whatever happened then, pales in comparison to the butchery has taken place in the decades afterwards and still continuing today, turning these icons of automobilia in to nearly undrivable pieces of junk, just so someone might see it and wonder "What's wrong with that car?", or "What's wrong with that person driving that car?".

Here's an example of what you could expect if you have a speedo dial re-lithographed. It is expensive, and a convincing result is not guaranteed. It depends on the skill, patience, technique, and experience of the person doing the job. This one came out of a "restored" speedo.

The engine runs fabulous! It pulls like a health 1600cc engine. It also makes the gearing in the car feel linger as the engine has a wider power band.

i have seen little drag races between a okrasa split, non-synchro against a dual port super beetle, and the okrasa easily beat the super, double clutching and all
