Nor-Cal Bus Fest 9. Sunday August 11, 2013. Contra Costa County Fairgrounds (front park area), 1201 West 10th Street, Antioch, CA 94509. Gates open at 8:00 am for this display and swap event, open to ALL Volkswagen buses and trucks, regardless of year, model or condition. Held on the tree-shaded lawns of the fairgrounds, this event will feature the full range of Type II’s, from Barndoors to Eurovans and everything in between. Features include a kids area, music and the famous end-of-the-day raffle. General admission is still only $10 per adult which includes entry, display and/or swap space. Al, that is fantastic and very generous, and will make for an excellent grand prize for the raffle on Sunday. Someone is going home from Bus Fest with a new set of safari windows!

Had a lot of fun, met a bunch of really cool people, and wish I had taken more pictures!

The dog perched all day on the top of the drivers seat looked like he knew with confidence that his ride was badass. Yes, my friend, it is indeed!
