Ok, the results are in:

item#239 - 1/2" Drive Click Stop Torque Wrench - WIN
item#807 - 3/8" Drive Click Stop Torque Wrench - WIN
Item #2696 - 1/4" Drive Click Stop Torque Wrench - WIN

But...

...they're not perfect.

I tested all 3 using this method (like I mentioned, I've done this before)...

Link

It's not a 100% accurate method, but good enough for the weekend warrior.

I had 2 10 lb exercise weights (actually 10.25) and a gallon of water weighing in at 8.5 lbs. I tested the 1/2" at 36 ft/lbs, 25 ft/lbs, 12 ft/lbs - The 3/8" at 29 ft/lbs, 20 ft/lbs, 10 ft/lbs - and the 1/4" at 195 in/lbs and 97 in/lbs.
Both the 1/2" and the 3/8" tested within +/- 1 ft/lb at the higher settings (36 & 25 and 29 & 20, respectively) but at the lower settings it was more like + 2 ft/lbs...
The 1/4" tested near perfect at 195 and about -5 in/lbs at 97.
They dance in and out of the advertised 4% accuracy depending on where in the range you are. However, they seem more accurate than the old beam-style torque wrench I've been using, so I'm keeping them. To get all 3 for under $40 is a steal.
One other thing to note is... although the click is substantial in the higher end of their ranges, it is much less audible in the low end, especially in the case of the 1/4", so go slow.

item#39714 - Two way parts brush - LOSE

You'd think a cleaning brush would be pretty simple... but I guess not. The conical end fell out of the handle even before I could use it. Just hot glued it back in and I'm hoping it stays.

Just bought some Evapo-Rust on Saturday. Tried it out on Sunday; WIN!
Then I checked the label, Made in USA.

Soak your rusty parts in it, they come out clean bare metal. I have a gas tank I want to do with this stuff.

items #39391 and 39384 40 Piece Carbon Steel SAE/METRIC Tap and Die Set- LOSE:

I received both SAE and Metric sets of these as a gift. These things are so poorly made that they are pretty much useless. Well they make decent paper weights I suppose...

Item #98450 Heavy Duty Scissors: WIN:
These things Rule. These are the ones that they give away free with a coupon sometimes. Even at $3.99 they are a great deal. I have used these to cut hoses, plastic, carpet etc. Probably one of the best cheap items at HF.

Item # 92623 7" Variable Speed Polisher/Sander: WIN:
This polisher is a good deal especially if you get it when they have it on sale or with a coupon. It only has a simple dial with hash marks attempting to label the speeds so you have to guess at your RPMs (I used it between mark 2 and 3 for buffing and polishing a new paint job). The pads that it comes with are fair but you would be better off picking up some nicer foam pads online or at another store. Overall this thing has held up well and has performed better than expected.

i have a HB close to me. I buy items from them that I don't need to use alot. My higher use tools are mostly Craftsman with some Home Depot and Snap-on stuff in there.

So my criteria for WIN/LOSE is if I have used it successfully mulitple times without it breaking or damaging what I was working on. If it broke or damaged something on the first time it gets a Lose.

WIN 38847 6 ton jack stands
WIN 67511 vehicle dollies
Lose - foot powered log splitter - opened box and it i was at least the 2nd owner of this item.
WIN small free flashlights
WIN 97825 or 90566- magnetic parts dish
WIN rubber gloves (as already mentioned)
WIN 1939, 1938 Welding magnets
WIN 98357 Stud Welder Dent Repair Kit
WIN 31277 7 Piece Body And Fender Set
WIN 8832 Three-Jaw Puller Set
WIN 37824 46 Piece Bolt-Type Wheel Puller Set

I also have the Welding helmet 46092 ($50.00) It's a win because you won't go blind from the ultraviolet light while welding but it does not let you see everything as clearly as you would depending on the ambient light. So in a pinch it works but you would be better if you could save your money and buy a $200.00 helmet instead.

i have the manual tire machine, saved me $$$$ over the last couple of years. The bubble balancer attachment crapped out after 6 months but the machine itself has done at least a couple dozen tires and have been very pleased with it.

X2 on the tire machine!

After the local tire shops said they could no longer balance wide five rims I decided there was no reason to take them and pay for mount/dismount. Mount my own tires and throw in 10oz of soft air, BBs or real balancing beads and call it good.

Item #93668 15pc. metric service wrench set. Win.$32.00 with 20% off coupon.
Item #66385 pulley holding and spinning tool. Win. $7.99
Not sure how this would last in every day use but when you need a thin 32mm wrench to remove a BMW. fan clutch on a Sunday it does the trick.

Pneumatic cut-off wheel #47077 is a total WIN

I used it all day back when I worked in a shop, ran it until it frosted over at least 5 times a day without issue. Few drops of air tool oil down the hatch before you use it and you'll be golden.

They seem to be perpetually on sale for $9.99

Ratcheting tap handle #97633 is a WIN

Ergonomics of it are great, I like the sliding handle sections and the ratchet feature is nice as well.

I purchased this tool box Item#68784 a few months ago. For the price and the quality it far surpassed any equal on the market. The closest match in size was a Craftsman or Husky and they were twice the price or more. Mac or Snap-On were out of the question because I would have easily added another zero to the cost. Super happy so far!! Very Happy Very Happy

3-1/2" 9 LED Mini Flashlight: FAIL

I bought this on Sunday, used it on Monday, turned it off, put it away in a warm dry place, and tried to use it again on Wednesday. It was kaputt.

Opened it up, looked around inside, found nothing wrong, tried it out again, it didn't work, and I threw it out.

Yeah, it was only $1 but I didn't know it was $1 per use!

You paid for one? They have coupons to get those free all of the time. Whether the batteries in them are good or not is hit and miss.

I didn't have a coupon. Wish I did. But I could fish it out of the trash and stick a new battery in it.

When it worked, it was perfectly bright!

Their drywall hoist is just awesome, and the small bench-top parts washer I bought years ago for $35 is still working great.

I also bought a foldable 4x8 trailer a few years back that is excellent, although I replaced the cheap wheels and bearings before using it.

(Sorry, too busy right now to look up the part numbers.)

I second, a nice box. Going to add the top mate some time this year.
