I stripped the grey paint & put new wheels on. Now i need to drill the bolts out for the rear bumper. It's too bad someone sanded the hell out of the OG paint Mad

Now the '56 is getting a rebuilt Okrasa kitted 36hp, and hopefully i'll get back to daily driving her

Check endplay on that flywheel before rebuilding - it might be out of spec.

New axle boots, new motor mounts, new shocks, new boden tube, new 6volt battery, new pressure plate & disc. Added a cruiser pedal & installed the engine. Now i need to hang the rebuilt bumpers back on & i'll be rolling again Cool

yeah, anytime Patrick. The carbs seem pretty cheaply made, but it sounds great, and seems pretty peppy for a 36er. I'm liking it so far

Not too different from this original paint December 1955 that has been "sanded" by sixty two years of natural weathering. The climate isn't too different from Roseburg:

Nice, I really like that green. Yours has a lot more paint left on it than mine. Someone actually sanded mine down pretty good in spots. Looks likes some rough grit they were using too.

Great that you got the oval driving again, even with a different engine. Did you ever clean out the original decomposing 36hp engine?

I kept alot of parts from it, but the case was pitched into the scrap pile. Here is the cam Laughing

hit the '56 with some wet sanding & TR3 rubdown. I'm just running a stock engine, the WW okrasa engine is in my 60 ghia now.
