Hi Kevin - You are correct, in that I've struggled with this aspect, and not yet fully resolved it. Three years ago, the person carrying out the changes required make up his own sections, but once fitted, it became obvious that they weren't wide enough.
As you say, I think I Mika make some of the required 'original' style parts, which I must have somewhere, and they still need fitting. The person who was going to do this for me, although only in his 30s, was in and out of hosital, his workload backed up, and the work has never been done!
There was a fellow in Holland (I think) who hade whole sections you could graft in, but I've not seen that ad for ages. |

Thanks Martin, I am wrestling with either modifying an NOS panel which is later or repairing the rough original quarter on my car with bits of front end metal from a nice oval front clip I have. |

Depending on how high you go, that is a pretty complex part. It would take a lot of time if doing by hand and if you are stamping it the dies would be expensive. _________________ Chris

The picture is deceiving...it is very soft/crusty all around the bottom edge. An easy press of the finger goes right through the bottom inch or so. The driver's side is much worse. |

I'm developing parts for mechanical brakes, and looking now for a test user who can take these in use, most preferably for daily use.
These are made of special steel, thickness 2.5 and 5 mm.

Hey Mika! Any chance you do or can make the lower forward section of a rear luggage section? The part of the panel that meets the rear crossmember all he way across from left to right rear wheel well.
I will soon be ordering your crossmembers and some other parts for an April 55 vert but the bottom 4-6" of the shelf is toast as well |

I have got many inquires about the rear luggage area. I had it on my list, but unfortunately I have many others before that.
Here the first left side shock towers for pre49 front axle. Heavy pieces, made of 3 mm sheet metal.

Let me introduce a heaterchannel 1946-53. The rusty one is a nos, VW sold it like this setup.
Next step to build the tooling for left side, and then start to produce them.

They will be $450 each (496 Euro in EU incl.vat).
I will also offer channels where bottom panel is not welded in. Sometimes it's easier to fasten the upper part to the body, and then bottom closing panel would be the final part. _________________ Mika
