Doubt the current PDF list is accurate... scratch that.. I know its not..
I had contacted one of the keepers of the list about having one removed and its still on there... so.. doubt all have been added either.
Who is now the keeper?? I've lost track

Actually the numbers imported to the U. S. is 314,343 sedans and 9595 Convertibles for a total of 323.93 3 which is far short of the million you suggest. Not interested in the rest of the world--just here at home. Stastics deal with the U.S. as far as survival and scrappage rates.
Again this site has recorded 375 cars (hopefully complete cars) |
Obviously I was talking about worldwide imported numbers. So no I wasn't "far short" _________________ 67 Convertible July 67 Yukon Yellow

Not sure how this registry works. I too am an owner of a 1967 sedan. My second actually. My mom bought the first sedan new in 1967 and gave it to me when I started to drive in 1983. Of curse I took her from stock to calbug style ASAP. Car was looking good until it was stolen a few years later. The car was recovered but destroyed by the thieves. They were caught though, just a little too late.
My second came just a few weeks ago, found her on Craigslist for $1300. She is in the paint shop now and cant wait to get it back. Funny how I seem to be buying everything I immediately took off the first bug and trashed. Oh well, different times and different desires. Is there a link to the registry?

And finally completed

Nice 67. Kinda looks like a little brother of my Zenithblau car. Love these cars!
Enjoy the ride! _________________ I have learned over the years.

Can anyone tell me if I can get away with using pre 67 swing axles on my 67 beetle? or does that 5/8 inch actually make a difference? |

I have a 67, picked it up from a guy in the Army before he deployed to the sandbox. I have it stored in dry storage right now and have been collecting parts for it. Most people would probably scrap it. It needs a lot. But I can't toss it aside.
But it's particulars are.
VIN# 117772237
Original color VW blue currently Savannah beige will be java green when I finish it.
Sedan deluxe.
Owner Pondoras Box
Still looking for front fenders and headlights. Do 68 and later lights work?
I will try to get pics when I pull it out to start cutting and welding. _________________ Looking for anything from Hal Casey Motors out of Hamburg New York, from license plate surrounds to matchbooks.

Looks real good, like those 66 rear bumpers on early 67's. My convertible is an Aug 66 car. Does it have SB-12's still on it? _________________ 67 Sun Roof / Born Sept 66 / Second Owner
